Hypocrisy
Anyone who remembers Red Wedge from the 80's will also remember Billy Bragg's links with that Labour-supporting movement. Well Bill's back, with a new version of the classic Hymn I Vow To Thee My Country.This little gem is entitled The Many Not The Few, and is a paen to socialist ideals. The sentiments it expresses are truly worthy, yet in so many ways at odds with the actions of the Labour leadership. If the Labour Party does adopt it as another party anthem, then it will stand as yet another tribute to the hypocrisy of the Blairites.
