A Polly pocket pop quiz
Iain's got a piece in the Telegraph today expounding on how women only vote for politicians they fancy. A bit like why they watch football. Or something.
Here’s something for Polly Toynbee to ponder on. It’s a startling fact that if women had never had the vote, Britain would have had a continuous Labour government since 1945.
For ten points then, dear reader, who said the following?
It is women who have kept Conservatives in power for most of the time since the suffragettes first won the vote.
Any ideas?
It was Polly Toynbee in November last year. I think we can take it that Polly has already pondered the conundrum Iain presents her with today.
Unity has the full story.
